How Fête came to be · professional research
Fête began as a physical-infrastructure idea: a coworking and resource hub for Atlanta’s event industry. To build the right home rather than simply open a building, Fête stepped back to learn the people it intends to serve and create the digital community that can prove what the facility should eventually provide.
The research surfaced a network of needs no single storefront, social platform or vendor directory could solve alone.
Fête began as a vision for shared Atlanta infrastructure where event professionals could work, learn, store, build and grow.
Research with roughly 200 Atlanta event entrepreneurs, on-the-ground industry learning and continued business-model development named the practical needs first.
The digital community connects the people, standards, local knowledge and real demand that must inform any future facility.
Member behavior, client needs and actual usage will determine what Fête House becomes—and when it should open.

Fête House is a long-term vision, not a currently operating facility. The digital community, Fête Access network and real member behavior will help determine what is ultimately built and when.

The founder
Design is the visible layer. Infrastructure is the lasting one.
Kennay is the founder and creative director of Imagine THAT Event Designs, an Atlanta event-design company known for immersive environments, milestone celebrations and imaginative children’s experiences. Her work has required far more than making a room beautiful: it has meant finding collaborators, solving production problems, sourcing resources and building reliable systems around creative work.
Fête grew from that lived experience. Kennay saw talented entrepreneurs repeatedly trying to solve the same problems alone—and clients trying to judge the right professional from a grid of pretty photos.
The idea at the centerFête is the community Kennay kept wishing existed every time a celebration needed the right person, a trusted answer or one more pair of capable hands.
The promise behind the platform
Membership creates access to the professional community; it does not automatically make someone Fête Verified or eligible for client recommendations.
The directory is not the product. Trust is.
Business practices, portfolio, reputation and collaboration readiness are considered before entry.
Fête Verified is earned and current—not a badge purchased with membership dues.
Fête Fit weighs capability, investment, aesthetic, experience, working style, collaboration and logistics—then explains the recommendation.
The Fête Promise applies only when clients book professionals or approved teams Fête has verified and presented through the platform.
A note to Atlanta’s event community
